Why we love this watch

We have a fascination with the Omega Speedmaster at Crown Vintage and the ref 3594.50 ticks every box. It offers something a little different to a regular Speedmaster Professional whilst basically offering the same specifications. The Broadarrow that we have for sale was introduced in 1997 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Speedmaster CK2915 and Omega's first attempt at creating a re-edition of the iconic first watch. Production finished somewhere around 2003. So, these watches are getting harder and harder to find, especially in the condition of this watch. I mean seriously, look how good it looks in the photos.

The 3594.50 Broadarrow we have for sale is 42mm like a regular Speedie. The original CK2915 was only 39mm. So, the new Broadarrow retains the distinctive larger case size. The Omega Speedmaster ref 3594.50 is nicknamed the "Broad Arrow" due to the distinctive broad arrow design on its dial. This design features a large, arrow-shaped hour hand and a broad, arrowhead-shaped minute hand, which are both highly legible and visually striking. The term "Broad Arrow" is also historically associated with British military equipment, adding a layer of heritage and toughness to the watch's identity. Just to be a little nerdy, the case back is also different from a regular Speedie in that it’s missing the “Flight-Qualified” text and instead is inscribed with a logo and Speedmaster text.

This Speedie features the venerable Calibre 1861 manual-winding chronograph movement with a 48-hour power reserve. A descendent of the calibre that was worn on the Moon. Rhodium-plated finish.
